Chicago! Nice to know someone here doesn't live on the lame side of the country.

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

Joker - Yay! Chicago buddy!

Danielle recently scribbled the following on their toilet (I mean blog)..Summer in Chicago means Construction and Weddings.

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

Charlotte - Clearly you've never heard me play. Because when I play.... The sheer amount of holiness that comes from my amp merely disintegrates women's clothing.

Fitz - You know I'm just messin' with ya. See... if your east coast ass lived in cool places like Chicago, we could play sometime, but NOOOOO.

Danielle - WHO TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT!?! And Fitz apologized after anyway.

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

OK Danielle, I was typing when you commented and just saw it...ALOL...fucking hilarious!! Pretty cool sound going on there!

I'll give you the Robert Sweet thing, especially since double bass sends me into a frenzy.

While I dig the musical talent Jersey has offered over the years - and love it since I am a Jersey Girl - I'm still sticking with my stance that Thursday blows.

Don't make me hit up that 'Motivate Me' page of yours to get you to show us your mad skillz on drums. I'll part with the cash if I have to.

One more thought...Slayer would balance out the god stuff but how could you not play along to Lars? He's fucking amazing even though he is a major prick.

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

Joker - It might be well known that Bassist > Drummer. However... The drummer always ends up stealing the bassist's girlfriend while the bassist cries in the corner.

Danielle recently scribbled the following on their toilet (I mean blog)..Summer in Chicago means Construction and Weddings.

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

Since I mentioned my first band I might as well mention the last band. Anyone regonize the guy playing drums here? HINT: It's Fitz from toiletscribble.com

But yeah....I like to play the drums. Yet I can't dance for shit....go figure!

Matthew - thx brother!

Krys Lee - Most of these songs are from 2000 - 2003 so don't feel old!

Joker - you always have to tease me don't you? Could be better? How so? Just kidding. You're right though, bassist + drummer = the soul of the band

Charlotte - Stryper indeed! I'm no religious freak but Robert Sweet wailed on the drums!!! Soldiers Under Command was a fave album of mine to play along with when I was young. Although, right after I would play along with Slayer to keep myself on an even keel. Oh and Thursday is AWESOME! They are Jersey b oys so they can't be bad.

Drum solo? Uh oh!

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

From the TWFT MySpace page, "could play Robert Sweet drums"
As in Stryper? Please tell me that was a joke...pleeeease.

Sorry Joker, no musician is sexier then a drummer doing their thing.

I'm digging the play list Fitz except for Thursday, they are crap. CRAP!

Krys Lee, what's say we try to convince Fitz into doing a little video blog drum solo?? =)

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

Fitz - First, great list there. Could be better, but it's a good one. Also, (and I think you'll agree) Rhythm section is always the best part of the band. Of course, Basic arithmetic tells us Bassists > Drummers, but it's okay.

Krys Lee - You don't have to know them to enjoy it. :D

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

I have to say I was really beginning to wonder about that electronic kit behind you in some of your videos. I honestly thought you were stowing away on smoke breaks at work with your little hand-held and finding the nearest empty room with the coolest crap laying around to add a hip ambiance to your videos.
I have to say, Fitz.. You've somehow made me feel very very old with this list of music, and I'm only fuckin 22! I don't know a single one of those bands you've listed.

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

That's not a bad list. Well done.

Matthew recently scribbled the following on their toilet (I mean blog)..Old School Computer Animation In Star Wars (video)

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

Of course. You WOULD be in a band, wouldn't you?

Excellent song choices, by the way. I'm impressed you could narrow it down that far. I could perhaps list twelve of my favorite bands, but even that would be hard for me. I am annoyingly obsessed with music.

Danielle recently scribbled the following on their toilet (I mean blog)..Summer in Chicago means Construction and Weddings.

Re: Ask Fitz: Hey What Are Some of Your Favorite Songs

Joe - Unfortunately we are not on imeem! I know it is definitely some kind of mistake because I mean, we were HUGE in Belgium! For those that don't know what TWFT is/was it was the first band I was in. Joe played the geetar and I hit the skins. Some of our tunes are over here:
